Since the cutest kid contest began on Sunday, more than 80 photos of the county’s cuties have been uploaded onto the contest site.

The grand prize is a $300 gas card from Terry Pate Home Sales, in Lumberton. The winner of the 2-4 years old age group will walk away with a new futon from Marie’s Furniture and Appliances in Rockingham.

The little darlings will be divided into age groups: 0-12 months; 12-24 months; 2-4 years; 4-6 years; 6-9 years; and 9-12 years. There will be prizes for the winner of each group.

If you think you have, or know, the cutest kids in the county - put up their photos and get ready to vote! And if your pictures are already up, don’t forget to tell your kids’ biggest fans to VOTE VOTE VOTE - starting May 30.

Voting will take place May 30 through June 13. The contest is being conducted online, with photo submissions and voting taking place through yourdailyjournal.com. The winners will be announced in the Daily Journal, as well as on the Web site. Readers can enter more than one child and when the voting begins, everyone can vote as many as five times per day.
