All City of Rockingham offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday to observe Thanksgiving and trash collection will change. The Monday/Thursday route will be collected on Monday, and the Tuesday/Friday route will be picked up on Tuesday.
As this is a short week, street trash like leaves and limbs is not guaranteed to be picked up.
The City of Hamlet offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.
Residential garbage collection will remain the same on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and collection for normally scheduled for Thursday Nov. 22, will be collected on Wednesday as well. Commercial collections for Friday Nov. 23, will also be picked up on Wednesday.
The Ellerbe town office will be closed Thursday and Friday, and trash will be collected on Wednesday.
The Daily Journal office will also be closed on Thursday.
Richmond Community College will be closed on both Thursday and Friday.
