ST. PETER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Hamlet, will host their annual homecoming and three-night revival beginning Sunday with the Pastor Rev. Angelo Troy delivering the morning message. A fellowship meal to follow. Revival services will be nightly at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 will be Rev. Victor Dabney of Fayetteville; Wednesday, Sept. 8 speaker will be Rev. Larry Robinson of Rowland; and Thursday, Sept. 9 will be Shawn Sanders of Durham.

The 3 p.m. service will continue with Eldress Margaret Wilson, Pastor of Hamlet Chapel F.W.B. Church. She will be accompanied by her choir and congregation.

FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, Dobbins Heights, will celebrate their annual 81st anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 with morning worship at 11 a.m. with Pastor J.L. McCullers. Dinner will follow morning service. Afternoon worship with Rev. Thomas Horne along with his church from Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Lilesville, at 3:30 p.m.

BEVERLY HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH Homecoming will be celebrated on Sept. 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Gary McNair conducting the service.  Dinner will be served after the morning worship service.

GREEN LAKE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 507 Green Lake Road, Rockingham, will host their annual homecoming and revival beginning Sept. 12. Morning services begin at 11:30 with the Rev. Jerry McNeil. The 3 p.m. service will be given by the Rev. Jack Poe and congregation of Sandy Grove Baptist Church. Guest speaker for Sept. 14 to Sept. 17 will be minister Wanda Cassidy of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Rockingham.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will have a salad buffet on Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meat salads, vegetable salads and sweet salads available to eat in or take out. The cost is $7.

FLETCHER’S CHAPEL CHURCH will have The Angelaires of Eagle Springs and the Lee Thee Male Chorus in concert on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. The church is located US #1 Highway Hoffman. The Pastor is Rev. Charles A. Bethea.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH located on Washington St. in Rockingham will have a good outdoor singing, gospel bluegrass and southern gospel on Sept. 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets can be brought to this free event sponsored by the church. NEW DIRECTION HOUSE OF PRAYER, 151 Mizpah Road, will host a special service on Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. The public is invited along with mime teams and choirs. The event is sponsored by the Ushers Board.

BEVERLY HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH will have a revival from Sunday, Sept. 26 through Wednesday, Sept. 29. The Reverend Sim Smith, former pastor of Beverly Hills Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker for the morning and evening worship services on Sunday and each night at 7:00 p.m.
