THE ROCKINGHAM DISTRICT WOMEN’S HOME AND OVERSEAS MISSIONARY SOCIETY’S first mass meeting will be held at Streater Grove A.M.E Zion church in Morven.

HARVEST TIME TABERNACLE will have their annual women to women service at 10 a.m. The church is located at 107 South Groves Ave. in Rockingham. The pastor is Mildred Harrington.

ASHLEY CHAPEL A.M.E ZION CHURCH located at 332 Mizpah Road in Rockingham will be sponsoring a “Back to School Blast Off” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event will provide information to parents and kids in preparation for the upcoming school year. There will be educators from elementary level to college level. Back to school supplies will be given away.

NEW BIRTH BAPTIST CHURCH in Hamlet will have their Homecoming until Aug. 27 services will begin nightly at 7:30 p.m. The morning service will be at 11 a.m. Rev. Kenneth Harrell, pastor Edward Alexander of Saron Baptist Church will speak at 2:30 p.m. Dinner will be served after the morning service. The speaker for the week will be Rev. Sterling Mosby of Bennettsville.

NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will have Rev. Columbus House from Mt. Gilead as the guest speaker for their 11 a.m. service.

NEW BETHEL A.M.E ZION CHURCH in Dobbins Heights will have their revival beginning with 11 a.m. service with host pastor, Rev. Bula Legrand. At 3 p.m. the speaker will be Rev. Raymond Mitchell of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Asheboro. The revival will last until Aug. 27. the guest speaker will be Rev. George Ellis of Union Grove Baptist Church in Laurinburg. Various choirs and churches will be in attendance during the week.

GREATER WALLS CHAPEL A.M.E. ZION CHURCH in Rockingham, will begin their Homecoming celebration. The pastor Rev. Tony W. Hornes, Sr. will deliver the morning message at 11 a.m. with dinner immediately following. Afternoon services will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Vivian Williams and the Steelly’s Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church. Rev. James Moore and Streater Grove A.M.E. Zion will be the guest speakers at 7:30 p.m. each night from Aug. 23-25.

MARSTON FIRST BAPTIST MISSIONARY CHURCH, 220 Stroman Road, will host Homecoming and Revival services until Aug. 25. Morning services are at 11 a.m. on Sunday with afternoon services beginning at 3 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Cleveland Cunningham and Congregation of Pleasant Hill CME, Hoffman. Other guest speakers will be there during the week.

RADICAL PRAIZ TRUE HOLINESS CHURCH OF THE APOSTOLIC FAITH located at 120 McArthur St. in Hamlet will have morning worship at 11:30 a.m. and joy and miracle service at 7:30 p.m. There is Bible study every Thursday at 7 p.m. The host pastor is Overseer “Prophet” Will Jones.

MT. PISGAH A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 1015 Leak St., will hold a memorial service for Thomas Eugene (Peanut) Clark at 3 p.m. The service will be sponsored by the Usher Board of Mt. Pisgah.

GREEN CHAPEL A.M.E. ZION will celebrate their annual Homecoming/Revival until Aug. 27. Services begin at 10 a.m. with Sunday school and at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Alexander McDonald will bring the morning message. Lunch will be served after morning service. Rev. Janice Ingram will be the 3 p.m. speaker and her choir and congregation of Wayman Chapel A.M.E Zion Church of Hamlet. The evangelist for the week is Rev. Donnie R. Bennett of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Rockingham. Service begins nightly at 7 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Rockingham, will host their Annual Homecoming and Revival. Guest speaker for the 3 p.m. service is Rev. Gloria McRae Aghogah of The United Holy Church of America. Revival begins on Aug. 23 and continues through Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. each night. Guest speaker for revival will be Rev. Shaun Sanders, co-founder of Godzchild Inc. Publishing.

CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST OUTREACH located at 1002 E. Washington St. in Rockingham will have a program on 4 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Terry Broady of Carl’s Revival Center Bible Holiness Church in Hamlet.

NEW LIFE CHURCHES OF DELIVERANCE INC. located at 410 Third St. in Hamlet will have a 100 Women in Hats at 5 p.m. This event is sponsored by the mission ministry. The speaker for this occasion is Pastor Patricia Williams of Mt. Calvary Church in Laurinburg.

THE TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST will have a Family and Friends Day at 5 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Christopher Turner of Raleigh. BEVERLY HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH, 110 Kemberly St., will host Ryan Karp, a Jewish evangelist, at 6 p.m. Karp is a representative of the Chosen People Ministries and will share his testimony of how he became a Christian.

ROBERDEL BAPTIST CHURCH will have the Eastern Sonrise Quartet and band in concert at 6:30 p.m. The group will perform some the music from their newest CD that is currently being recorded.

PINEY GROVE CHURCH located in the Ellerbe Windblow Community will have revival Aug. 25-27. Service starts nightly at 7:30 p.m. The evangelist is the Elder Robert Dockery. Music will be provided by guest choirs.

Thursday night Pastor Joseph Davis from Marshville will be the guest speaker. Friday night Bishop Leroy Payton will be the guest speaker. FAITH ANOINTED DELIVERANCE CENTER located at 166 Hwy 38 in Hamlet will have a three night revival. The event is Aug. 26-Aug. 28 nightly at 7 p.m. On Thursday the speaker will be Pastor Annie Blakely of New Covenant Deliverance Center in Laurinburg, on Friday the speaker will be Prophetess Elease Smith of Solid Rock Church of God in Rowland and on Saturday the speaker will be Pastor Aggie Riggins host pastor of the church.

NEW LIFE CHURCHES OF DELIVERANCE INC. located at 410 Third St. in Hamlet will have a seafood sale on Aug. 28. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The plates start at $9 choices are shrimp, fish, chicken and sandwiches. SIDNEY GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH located at 401 McIntyre Road in Ellerbe will have a “Walk in Your Season” program in the Family Agape Center on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. The speaker will be Deacon Hector McEachern from Sanctuary Deliverance Church in Greensboro. On Aug. 29 they will have their church anniversary program at 11:30 a.m. the speaker will be Dr. Frederick Terry of St. Petersburg, Fla.

BASS TEMPLE UNITED CHURCH OF GOD will have a missionary program on Aug. 29 at 3:30 p.m. The theme is “Love Makes a Missionary.” The guest speaker will be Evangelist Angela Hester, the first lady of St. John United Church of God in Carthage. They are asking all ladies to wear white. The host are Overseer B. F. Mason and Pastor Willie Moore.

BEVERLY HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH will host Ernie Couch and Revival in concert on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m.

PINE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH located at 275 Airport Road in Rockingham will have “Sisters” in concert August 29th at 6 p.m. The host pastor is Corey Wilson. This will be a free concert; however a love offering will be received. For more information contact the church office at (910) 895-2254.

EAST ROCKINGHAM CONGREGATIONAL HOLINESS CHURCH, 152 Safe Sixth Ave., will host a special singing on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. with Carl and David Freeman.

MIRACLE TEMPLE PLUMBLINE MINISTRY located at 558 US 1 S. Rockingham will have its first Kid’s Speak on Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. The speakers will be Bro. Jashon Joye of the church, Bro. Ken Downey Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Bro. Cedrick McPhatter of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Bro. Donovan Steele of Church of God, Bro. Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Raleigh, Wednesday will be youth night and the speaker will be Rev. Andrew Davis, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ansonville, Thursday Rev. Louis Blakney, pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Marshville and on Friday the speaker will be Bishop Arlester Simpson, pastor of Sidney Grove Baptist Church of Deliverance in Ellerbe. The host pastors are Rev. D.R. Bennett, Sr. and Pastor and Rev. Pat Bennett.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will have a salad buffet on Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meat salads, vegetable salads and sweet salads available to eat in or take out. The cost is $7.

FLETCHER’S CHAPEL CHURCH will have The Angelaires of Eagle Springs and the Lee Thee Male Chorus in concert on Sept.18 at 7 p.m. The church is located US #1 Hwy Hoffman. The Pastor is Rev. Charles A. Bethea.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH located on Washington St. in Rockingham will have a good outdoor singing, gospel bluegrass and southern gospel on Sept. 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets can be brought to this free event sponsored by the church.
