The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging all local businesses to help welcome visitors the next two weekends.
Richmond County will welcome thousands of visitors to Rockingham Dragway beginning with The Smoke Out XII which kicks off June 24-25 at Rockingham Dragway, followed by the East Coast Biker Rally at the Rock July 1 through 4.
Businesses having changeable signs or marquees are asked to post welcome greetings for the visitors. The wording may be only a simple “Welcome Bikers” or as elaborate as they choose.
Chamber President Emily Tucker said, “With thousands of visitors coming into Richmond County, every effort should be made by the local merchants to show our guests that we appreciate them and welcome their business. Our local businesses will be the ones benefiting from these large events as this will be a big economic boost for our local economy. The program has been successful over the past years with many businesses participating. Let’s keep on showing folks how friendly Richmond County can be!”
The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce is Richmond County’s largest business advocacy organization formed to represent and support its members and to strengthen the county’s economy and business environment.
