Carrie Sue Rollins Broome, 70, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at CMC-Union Hospital in Monroe.
Services for Broome will be held at 12 noon Friday, Sept. 14, in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Lloyd Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Broome was born March 10, 1942, in Chesterfield County S.C., a daughter of the late Hollis Rollins and the late Nancy Elizabeth Melton Rollins, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Richard Broome.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Rollins Baucom, and husband, Kenneth of Rockwell, N.C., Debra Rollins Mull, and husband Jody of Marshville, N.C., Gidget Broome Allen, and husband Billy of Rockingham, one son, Rodney Rollins of Marshville, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, three brothers, Rabon Rollins and James Rollins both of Monroe, and Randy Rollins of Wingate, N.C., two sisters, Brenda Burgess and Patricia Brantley both of Monroe.
