Reverend Carolyn Wright, of Philadelphia, Pa., died on Sept. 24, 2012, in Philadelphia, Pa.

The celebration of her life and legacy was held at her church on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Rockingham. The Pastor of Poplar Springs, Rev. John J Kirkpatrick IV will be officiating and the eulogy will be done by Dr. Gladys Broome, Associate Minister. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Nelson Funeral Home, Rockingham.

Rev. Wright was the Pastor of Woodcrest United Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, and Thouron Avenues in Philadelphia.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Patterson, Rockingham, two daughters, Kieta Dawn Wright and Gale Dawn Williams, Philadelphia, Pa., one brother William Ingram of Charlotte.
