Bobbie J. Smith, 67, of Rockingham, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at her home. She was born Oct. 4, 1941 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Bud and Arbutus “Boots” Smith. She worked with State Farm Insurance for many years.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Tommy West officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, William H. “Bill” Smith.

Surviving are her sisters, Peggy Sills and Shirley Smith both of Rockingham; and a brother, Bucky Smith of Hamlet.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet and at other times at the home of her sister, Peggy Sills, 806 Sycamore Lane, Rockingham.
