Billy R. Roughton, III., 30, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. He was born June 1, 1981 in Scotland County a son of Sherry Fore and Billy R. Roughton, Jr. Billy worked at Rockingham Hardware and also worked as an electrician’s assistant.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 1:30 pm at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the church and at other times at the home of his mother, 135 Ridge Rd., Marston and his father, 327 Curtis Dr., Rockingham.
Surviving are his parents, Sherry and Jack Fore of Marston and Billy and Jackie Roughton of Rockingham; a son, Trevor Roughton of Laurinburg; a sister, Jill Roughton of Marston; a step brother, David Lee Fore of Laurinburg; a niece, Lilly Jacobs; a nephew, Nathaniel Jacobs; and a step grandmother, Marilyn Roughton of Hamlet.
Billy was preceded in death by, his paternal grandparents, Bill Roughton, Sr. and Helen Roughton; and his maternal grandparents, Steve Newton and Ellen Hatcher Person.
