Nov. 3rd, 2012 @ the Biscoe Community Center (Page st, Biscoe, NC) God’s Anointed Messenger’s and the BBS.Diva’s presents “Praise for a Cure” a Gospel Extravaganza comedy / singing event Hosted by “Manard Busta Brown”. This is a breast cancer fundraiser event and partial proceeds go to the Susan G. KOMEN FOUNDATION.BBS.Diva’s will be pre- selling tickets to “Praise for a Cure” on Oct. 4th 2012, 10am to 3pm @ Food King located in Biscoe,N.C. (528 N Main st Biscoe, Nc 27209). Tickets will be $10. We will also be collecting gently used wigs, turbans, scarf’s, and hats for women who may have lost their hair during treatment. For many women, wigs are the answer; they start to lose their hair as they take treatment. Many of the women cannot afford wigs, turbans, hair scarfs, or hats. Please make sure the wig or ponytail is comfortable, not lined with material that's going to feel scratchy against one’s scalp. (Remember that most wigs are designed for women who have some hair.) So let’s keep in consideration the ones who do not have hair is the reason for the cause. These wigs and other items will be donated to the American Cancer Society in Charlotte, Nc. (1901 Brunswick ave, 100st Charlotte NC 28207). Please donate as we wear wigs for fun others wear wigs for necessity.
