To the editor:

This letter is in response to a letter written by Fred Caudle titled “Obama’s disdain for law enforcement officers.” This letter made me really laugh out loud, and then my heart was filled with sorrow for poor, misguided Fred.

Mr. Caudle, in his use of certain words, shows a great sense of his disdain for blacks, black organizations and black folks who live in urban areas — and most importantly, the president of the United States of America who is mixed-race, part black.

Mr. Caudle, can you not even find it in your heart to love at least part of President Obama?

This is further proof that America is one of the most racist countries on the planet.

Mr. Caudle would make one think that Richmond County is one of the most racist counties. But thank God not everyone here shares Fred’s thoughts. We would be in big trouble if they did!

I believe that Mr. Caudle would be happy living in a world without color. But the sad truth is that we only have this one world and we all have to share it — even with folks like Mr. Caudle.

Mr. Caudle when you get down on your knees at night to say your prayers. I hope that you would pray for this nation and this president.

Folks like Fred are the very reason that America still suffers from racism. I wish that I had a time machine so he could revisit the 1950s… and maybe stay there.

I love my president because he faces folks like Fred every day with a smile and the grace of a statesman.

God bless the president of the USA, Barack Obama.

Vote Democrat, because it is the meaningful thing to do!
