Raymond Allen Gaddy, 63, of Cordova, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Gaddy was born December 9, 1949 in Richmond County, a son of the late Sherwood and Bessie Bristow Gaddy. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, had been employed with Clark Equipment Co., and retired from Campbell Soup Co. in Maxton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Locklear Gaddy, brothers, Sherwood “Sonny” Gaddy, Earl Gaddy, and sisters, Bobbie Idol and Brenda Wilson.
Surviving are his children, Tony Gaddy of Albemarle, Eric Gaddy of Holden Beach; brothers, Steve Gaddy of Winder, Ga., Terry Gaddy of Rockingham and sisters, Phyllis Baker of Cordova and Linda Everett of Rockingham.
A service to celebrate Raymond’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Southwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Randy Guerry officiating.
The family will see friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
