Mrs. Linda Shouse Nagel, 66, of 104 Crawford Creek, Rockingham, died, Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Hospice Haven, Rockingham.


She was born in Appomattox, VA, March 14, 1947, daughter of Dr. Samuel Straughan Shouse and Helen Meinke Shouse.


Mrs. Nagel owned “Party-Poopers” in Rockingham and Moore Co. and was a Field Director for 15 yrs. for the Girl Scouts of America in Richmond and Moore County. She had a real passion for the Girl Scouts that continued on into her life and left a great impression on many young girls’ lives.


A Memorial Service to Celebrate Linda’s life will be held, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Hinson Lake, Rockingham.


Preceding her in death are her parents; and a brother, William Shouse.


She is survived by her husband, John Christian Nagel of the home; daughters, Carrie Simkin of Arlington, VA and Chloe Ferogh of Woodbridge, VA; sons, Joe Nagel of Grapevine, Texas and Carl Nagel of San Diego, CA; brother, Sam Shouse of Costa Rica; sisters, Netta Putman and Virginia Holloran both of Augusta, GA; and four grandchildren.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 Hwy. 1, N., Rockingham, NC 28379.
