Fairview Heights Elementary School inducted its first National Junior Beta Club members during a recent ceremony at the Hamlet school.


The club is comprised of Fairview’s fourth and fifth graders who attained all A’s for the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year. This year’s inductees include Rae Anna Adeimy, Gabe Altman, Kearston Bruce, Maggie Cook, Nikolas Daughtery, Valeria Diaz-Munoz, Darice Martin, Brayden Morrison, Marley Moss, Madelyn Sessoms, Kassie Smith, Jack Thornsbury, Harley Waite and Ian Williams.


Williams, holding the highest academic average, served as the new members’ representative for the ceremony.


Dr. Irene Pittman Aiken, a member of the Richmond County Board of Education, spoke to the students about their achievements and continued success.


Representatives from Richmond Senior High School who helped with the Beta Club Key Induction Ceremony included Derek Wilderman and Joseph McRae.
