HAMLET — The Small Business Center of Richmond Community College will offer a free seminar Aug. 13 that will focus on using online video, photos and audio to increase revenue.
Raleigh-based business coach and social media marketing consultant Martin Brossman will present the seminar that will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the Cole Auditorium, which is located on RCC’s main campus at 1042 W. Hamlet Ave. in Hamlet.
“In this seminar we will focus on what a business owner needs to know about multimedia, including pictures, video and audio to build a brand, stay top of mind for customers and increase business revenue,” Brossman said. “You will learn how to capture compelling images and stories that attract customers to buy and get them to share with their friends to expand your customer base.”
Among the topics discussed will be free and low-cost ways to gain a competitive edge by creating content that can be distributed on YouTube, Google+, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, as well as the basics of podcasting, which allows you to create your own radio station on the Internet. Explanations will also be given on the use of Google+ Hangouts On Air and how to use blogs.
“You will leave this class with clear actions you can take to get the most out of these free resources,” Brossman said. “Your business will be found more easily by Google and shared more by maximizing multimedia using these proven low cost methods.”
Registration for the seminar is available online at tiny.cc/sbcseminars, by email email@example.com or by calling Deborah Hardison, Small Business Center Director, at 910-410-1687. Pre-registration by Aug. 12 is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
