LAURINBURG — Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that riddled a Laurinburg home with bullets and injured a 19-year-old inside.
D’Minist Ford, who lives with his 69-year-old grandmother on North Caledonia Road, was struck once in the upper left arm at about 5 a.m., according to Assistant Police Chief Cliff Sessoms.
Ford was treated and released that same day from Scotland Memorial Hospital, Sessoms said.
Ford told Laurinburg police he was sitting on the couch when he was struck. According to Sessoms, 10 shell casings were found around the home.
Damage to the home was reported at $1,700.
