Editor’s note: Each Friday, The Daily Journal will highly an infrastructure issue or other problem in Richmond County and attempt to determine what agency or person is responsible for a resolving the issue. We will not tackle situations involving neighborhood or domestic disputes, or consumer problems.
At issue: Dobbins Heights resident Ruby Lyles has a basketball-sized hornets nest in a tree near her Horseshoe Drive home.
Who can fix it: Lyles doesn’t know. Lyles has contacted the local fire department, a local pest control agency and Mayor Antonio Blue. Blue said he contacted anyone across the state of North Carolina to find someone who can help. So far, no luck. As it stands, Lyles has a potentially dangerous situation right in her front yard.
