Monley

LAURINBURG — A man was arrested on Father’s Day after police say he entered a home uninvited and began masturbating in front of a 14-year-old.

Henry L. Monley, 39, is charged with taking felonious indecent liberties with a child and felonious indecent exposure. According to Laurinburg Assistant Police Chief Cliff Sessoms, Monley’s true address is unknown as he is known to reside temporarily at several locations.

According to Sessoms, Monley entered a home in the Carolina Park area on Sunday and was told to leave, at which point he stepped onto the home’s front porch, exposed himself and began touching himself.

When a 14-year-old told him to leave, Sessoms said Monley attempted to pull the boy’s pants down as well.

Monley is not a registered sex offender but has a record of 11 criminal convictions from 1991 through 2004, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction. He most recently served probation on an October 2004 misdemeanor larceny conviction in Scotland County.

Monley was booked into the Scotland County jail under a $26,000 bond.
