LAURINBURG — For those who dream of being their own boss, Richmond Community College’s Small Business Center wll offer a free seminar Aug. 19 highlighting what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

Tim Dannelly, author of “Selling The American Dream: How to Enjoy Making a Living As a Sales Professional,” will lead the three-hour workshop that will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the F. Diane Honeycutt Center located at 600 McLean St. in Laurinburg.

“This seminar is designed for the person who has a burning passion to start or improve the performance of their own business,” Dannelly said in a release. “If you have an idea for a particular business and you’re ready to take the risk and do the work necessary to succeed in the American marketplace, I’m ready to show you how.”

Dannelly believes effective planning, execution and marketing are involved in all successful businesses.

“Your business needs to grow in order to succeed, so you’ll learn how to hire and train the best employees,” he said.
