ROCKINGHAM — The Omega Professional Staffing Service celebrated its grand opening with Richmond County Chamber of Commerce members June 11. The business is located at 912 E. Broad Ave.
A crowd joined Omega staffers to cut the ribbon for their new office. Chamber President Emily Tucker welcomed guests to begin the ceremony. Speakers for the ceremony included chamber board Chairman Evans Sheppard, Commissioner John Garner, Rockingham Mayor Pro-tem John Hutchinson. Owners Curtis and Charlotte Garth provided closing remarks.
Establishing a staffing company has been the Garths’ longtime desire. The project has been in the planning stage for more than seven years. The couple has experience in the staffing business ranging from training and education to sales.
Curtis and Charlotte Garth said today’s work force is changing and the way that companies hire employees is changing as well. They started their business to help companies find qualified workers and fill vacant positions.
“We’re pleased that the Garths chose Rockingham as a location to do business and we are very excited to have them as a chamber member,” chamber President Emily Tucker said in a statement. “We wish the Garths much success in their new business.”
