ROCKINGHAM — Three men are accused of stealing money from vending machines, according to Richmond County sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies say William Walter Odom, 24, Terry Alexander Ginter II, 23 and John Matthew Reeves, 30, all of Wallace Avenue in Rockingham, broke into a building at the Richmond County landfill.
Deputies say the trio then broke into vending machines and stole change from them.
The three men were arrested July 29 and each charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen property and breaking and entering of a coin-operated machine.
They were each jailed under a $5,000 secured bond.
Reeves has several prior breaking and entering convictions, according to N.C. Department of Public Safety records. He has also been convicted of larceny after breaking and entering, common-law robbery and two assaults causing injury.
Court records show a John Matthew Reeves with a similar birth date has a current pending charge of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury.
Neither Odom or Ginter has a criminal record in North Carolina.
