ROCKINGHAM — A Hamlet man is accused of cutting another man with a box cutter.

Richmond County sheriff’s deputies say Glenn Allen Lockey, 48, of Pear Drive, assaulted another man with the tool on Saturday.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on Sunday and he was picked up the following day.

Lockey is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Court records show he has no other pending charges in Richmond County.

According to N.C. Department of Public Safety records, Lockey’s only prior convictions have been for driving under the influence and driving while license revoked.
