ROCKINGHAM — A man is accused of walking into a retail store and walking out with the same merchandise two days in a row.

According to an arrest warrant, 23-year-old Matthew Dale Knight of Cox Street, Rockingham, went into Lowe’s on May 8 and 9, stealing a DeWalt five-tool combo kit each day.

The kits are valued at $549 each.

An arrest warrant for Knight was issued May 15.

Knight was arrested Tuesday, charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and jailed under a $500 secured bond.

Online court records show he has no other pending charges in the state.

Prison records show Knight has been convicted on felony larceny and possession of stolen goods charges as well as several misdemeanors.
