Hamlet natives Wayne Goodwin, Jason Strickland cross paths in Cary

Goodwin, who serves as the statewide elected North Carolina insurance commissioner, presented a program about what he does for North Carolina, including the $2.4 billion in savings his N.C. Department of Insurance has achieved through rate cuts, rebates, refunds and negotiations. Strickland, a Rotarian, is an attorney for the Ward & Smith law firm in Raleigh. Both men continue to have family members in Richmond County.
