To the editor:
Just have to give a shout out to Shelly Walker and the cast of “All The King’s Women.”
I was a young teenager when Elvis Presley was the rage with teenage girls. I was not particularly smitten but do remember a performance that I attended in 1959 that found me yelling along with all the other young girls in attendance. Crowd dynamics I suppose.
It was therefore easy for me to identify with the “women” on stage this past Saturday. I have to say that the performance of the actors was very good especially Emily Braddock and Angie Rush. Angie do you really talk like that? Brittany Colonello very aptly rounded out the trio of Elvis aficionados. She gave the aura of being much older than her real age. Ryan Taylor and Stephanie Tullis excelled in their roles. Ryan was dressed for the part.
If you go, be sure to be on time you don’t want to miss the hilarious first part and all of “Elvis’ appearances.” Well done!
