In response to a letter written about America going down and how Democrats are the ones to blame.
Our national unemployment rate for the month of July 2013 was 7.4 %. The same time last year, our unemployment rate was 8.2 %. Numbers never lie. It dropped 0.8 %. There were over 162,000 jobs created in July.
So if you are saying the President is destroying America with the declining of jobs, then I must disagree with you. The President is trying to rebuild America like he said during his first campaign up to his last election. True, the unemployment rate was low during the Bush era, but that was the effect of a thriving economy under the Clinton Administration. It took the last administration 8 years to erase a positive credit rating to a negative rating. The only reason it’s talked about now is because of our economy.
When we look back at history, it shows us that anytime our nation goes to war, our economy suffers. So if you are going to blame anyone, let’s start out with the terrorists that attacked us on 9-11. From there, follow the paper trail to where our money is going. You’ll find that the majority of our money is being diverted into “keeping America safe” with our military. If I had a choice to where some of our money should go, it would be to keep our soldiers equipped with the finest technological equipment available.
Some of the laws you and I disagree on, come from citizens like us, that vote on what they think is right. So if you don’t agree on these laws, remember it was done democratically.
I served in the U.S. Military and hearing you refer to our Commander in Chief as a “weasel” makes me wonder about your moral character. Let’s see you go to Iran and call their President a weasel. There are consequences to that type of talk in third world countries.
Mr. Caudle, I don’t think Obama has anything to do with groceries going up. Try looking at the weather for answers, like the floods, heat, and tornado activity across the Midwest, where a lot of food is grown. So you can put your silver bullets and metal stakes up and rest assured that the U.S. will always be a Super Power.
