On Feb. 3, Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arrested Dillon Brayboy, 17, and Christopher Lee Huckabee, 17, for assaulting and robbing another male on Marigold Street in East Rockingham.


Brayboy, of Aleo Ninth Avenue in Rockingham, and Huckabee, of Gathings Street in Hamlet, were charged with common law robbery and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.


Each teen was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $25,000 secure bond.


Everette charged with cocaine possession


A 54-year-old Hamlet man is in jail after being arrested for possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.


Vernon Mitchel Everette, of Earle Franklin Drive, was apprehended on Feb. 4 by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies and was charged with selling and delivering cocaine, possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine and selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.


Everette is confined in the Richmond County Jail on a $5,000 secure bond.


Teen arrested for breaking and entering


On Jan. 27, Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arrested Brandon Alexander Muldrow, 17, for breaking into a residence on Waymon Chapel Church Road in Rockingham and taking a TV.


Muldrow, of Waymon Chapel Church Road, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.


Muldrow was placed in the Richmond County Jail on a $10,000 secure bond.


Man arrested for breaking and entering two residences


A 24-year-old Rockingham man is in jail after being arrested for breaking and entering a residence on Old Cheraw Highway and on North Avenue.


Nicholas Adam Whittington, of Mill Road, was arrested on Jan. 14 by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies and was charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property.


Whittington is detained in the Richmond County Jail on a $15,000 secure bond.


Everett charged with cocaine


Daquan Lamont Everett, 21, was arrested and place in jail for selling cocaine and using a residence to do the transactions.


On Jan. 31, Everett, of King Drive in Hamlet, was charged with selling and delivering cocaine, possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine and maintaining a place for a controlled substance.


Everett was released on a written promise to appear in court.


Rockingham man charged with larceny


Derek Christopher Young, 34, was arrested on Jan. 28 by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies for breaking into a storage building on Hickory Street and taking a riding lawn mower. The lawn mower was recovered.


Young, of U.S. Route 1 South, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property.


Young was confined to the Richmond County Jail and placed under a $10,000 secure bond.


Two teens charged with breaking and entering


Two 17-year-olds are in the Richmond County Jail after being arrested by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies for breaking into a residence on Sandhill Road.


Cody Colon Parson, of Midway Road in Rockingham, and Jacob Tray McKenzie, of Minturn Avenue in Hamlet, were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property.


Parson was released to his parent and McKenzie was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $10,000 secure bond.
