If you haven't registered to vote for the upcoming election in Dobbins Heights, today is your last day.

Dobbins Heights' municipal election will be held Oct. 8, and early voting will begin Sept. 19 at the Richmond County Board of Elections office at 221 S. Hancock St., Rockingham, and will end Oct. 4.

The deadline to register to vote for all other municipal elections — those held in November — is Oct. 11. Early voting for November begins Oct. 17 and ends Nov 2.

According to the Board of Elections, Dobbins Heights votes early and separate from the other municipalities in Richmond County because of a decision made when the town was chartered.

On the ballot, Dobbins Heights voters will see three people running for Town Council; Angeline David, Tyre' Holloway and Thomas White.

In order to register to vote, visit the Board of Elections between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and be sure to bring some form of ID that shows your name and residence. If you don't have a drivers license, you can bring a water bill, light bill or any government generated document that lists your name and address.
