Nuts and bolts of Back to School
by Staff Report
Parents, have you dotted all of your i’s and crossed all of your t’s in preparing your child for the new school year?
When kids head back to school there are always various things that they’ll need in order for them to be prepared for school. Also, there are things — including lunch prices — that have changed and as a parent you need to be aware of these changes.
Of course, all students will need basic school supplies for classroom use through the school year.
Elementary students attending Richmond County Schools will need to have: 3-ring binders; one subject notebooks; a book bag; bound one subject notebook; color pencils; crayons; folders with pockets; glue sticks; hand sanitizer; highlighter; markers; notebook paper; pencils; pencil box/pouch; ruler; scissors; tissue; and a writing tablet.
Middle and high school students attending Richmond County Schools will need to have: 3-ring binders; one subject notebooks; a book bag; bound one subject notebook; color pencils; dry erase markers; erasers; folders with pockets; folders with prongs; graph paper; hand sanitizer; highlighter; 3 x 5 index cards; index tab dividers; markers; notebook paper; pencils; pens; ruler; and tissue.

Those in grades K-5 who are asked to pay full price will pay 50 cents for breakfast and $1.75 for lunch.
