by Staff Report
Two men from Hoffman are being charged with first degree murder, and are incarcerated at the Moore County Jail, according to police.
The arrests followed a shooting at Burger King in Aberdeen Saturday morning on Highway U.S. 1, police said.
The Aberdeen Police Department arrested Miquale Willie Green, 20, and Adam Anthony White, 25, both of Hoffman.
The victim, Wasley Allen Swinney, 23, of Hoffman, was standing outside his car in the Burger King parking lot, according to police, when at 9:07 a.m. the two suspects pulled up in their car and shot Swinney multiple times with a .380 caliber pistol.
Police said the suspects then left in their car, heading south on Highway U.S. 1. An officer that arrived on scene was able to get a vehicle description to another officer, who followed the suspects’ car, police said.
According to police, the suspects’ car was stopped after a short pursuit, and both men were taken into custody. Police said the two men have a scheduled court hearing for Aug. 26.
