Authorities are seeking your help in finding the driver of the vehicle that struck a Rockingham man and woman late Feb. 7 and fled the scene.

The Rockingham Police Department issues a news release Saturday with information about the incident, in which a light-colored truck or SUV struck pedestrians Daniel Withers, 35, and Valerie Withers, 38, around midnight on U.S. Route 1 South at Caroline Street.

After impact, the vehicle fled the scene, police said.

Both victims were flown to UNC-Chapel Hill for treatment and were released a few days later.
