ROCKINGHAM — Dr. Kirk Hasenmueller, a family medicine and urgent care physician, has joined the staff of Scotland Wound Healing Center in Laurinburg.
As the owner, founder, and medical director of Pines Quick Care and Family Medicine in Rockingham, Hasenmueller decided he was ready for a new challenge and to expand his medical knowledge, he said in a release.
“I wanted to learn more in the medical field, to specialize somehow, and when this opportunity opened up in the Scotland Wound Healing Center, I knew this was my opportunity,” Hasenmueller said in a statement. “Just last week, I completed a week’s training in Florida with Healogics, the parent company of Scotland Wound Healing Center. Now, I’m ready to see patients here every Wednesday morning. I’m very excited to be a part of the staff.”
After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Hasenmueller completed a residency at Edward W. Sparrow Memorial Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. He opened his medical practice in Rockingham in 1996.
In addition to running a busy medical practice, Hasenmueller and his wife, Shari, share the joy of raising 4-year old twins, Dylan and Alyssa. He serves as a part-time adjunct professor at Richmond Community College, where he teaches human anatomy and physiology.
Hasenmueller is also involved with Richmond Community Theatre, the Richmond Community Historical Society and Richmond County Arts Council.
