America’s Miss Richmond County pageant contestants and the Princess Performers presented “CandyLand: Gumdrops and Lollipops” on May 17.
The inaugural America’s Miss Richmond County queens’ court was selected May 17 at the Kate Finley Auditorium. Seventeen young girls ranging in age from birth to 24 competed in beauty gown/dress, casual theme wear and photogenic competitions with optional categories in talent and best of the best.
Baby Miss contestants were Piper Grooms, America’s Baby Miss Richmond County winner and beauty winner; Leeanna Knight, first runner-up; and Savanh Kingsada, second runner-up.
Tiny Miss contestants were Kenley Grace Smith, America’s Tiny Miss Richmond County winner and casual wear winner; Haley Covington, first runner-up and prettiest eyes winner; Haley Singleton, second runner-up; and Kylee Scott, third runner-up.
Little Miss contestants were Catherine “Cate” Kinsey – America’s Little Miss Richmond County winner, photogenic and prettiest hair winner; Neely Liles, first runner-up; Addyson Hollingsworth, second runner-up; and Lileeann Beasley, third runner-up.
Junior Miss contestants were Claire Maultsby, America’s Junior Miss Richmond County winner and talent winner; Meredith Standridge, first runner-up and prettiest smile winner; and Kaitlyn Dawkins, second runner-up.
Teen Miss contestant was Jennifer Causey, America’s Miss Teen Richmond County winner.
Miss contestants were: Alexandra “Alex” Kottyan, America’s Miss Richmond County winner, photogenic and prettiest dress winner and Katelyn Haywood, America’s Supreme Miss Richmond County winner and beauty, casual wear, best personality and talent winner.
Eighteen young dancers ranging in age from 4 to 17 were the Princess Performers. They are the dance company members of Rene’s Dance Arts Center and provided entertainment for the pageant and dance recital. The Princess Performers were: Aileen Hernandez, Anna Stogner, Elizabeth Dunn, Emma Grace Allen, Jude Reeder, Kenley Grace Smith, McKenzie Allen, Sarah Nessell, Raven Pence, Abbie Player, Carly Leggett, Claire Maultsby, Danielle Baxley, Elena Hall, Gabby Lutz, Kaitlyn Dawkins, Kayleigh Fields and Macy Faw.
The judges for the America’s Miss Richmond County Pageant were Robby Hall, Kathleen Wilderman, and Peggy Ussery. The emcee for the night was Maegan Davis and the tabulator was Sharon DeWitt. The director was René C. Ward and co-director was Jené D. Ward.
The queens’ court of America’s Miss Richmond County will represent the county and showcase their talents at local festivals, parades and community events. Organizers said they looked for natural beauty and overall unique and bubbly personalities. Pageant director René Ward said every contestant demonstrated those qualities.
