HAMLET — Richmond Community College’s Small Business Center will host a free seminar to help owners and managers create Facebook pages for their local businesses.

Open to the public, this seminar will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Room 4 of the Lee Building on RichmondCC’s main campus in Hamlet.

Guest speaker Todd Lyden will provide basic tips and tricks for marketing on Facebook, including a hands-on approach to setting up a Facebook business page account. It is recommended for participants to already have a personal profile established on Facebook.

“More and more clients need a hands-on approach to get them online,” said Lyden. “They are not comfortable with computers, but with smartphone technology, it does not make sense to ignore the largest social network online for your business.”

All Small Business Center seminars are open to the public and provided at no charge due to special funding arrangements through RichmondCC.

Advance registration for the seminar may be completed online at tiny.cc/sbcseminars; or via email or phone by contacting Small Business Center Director Deborah Hardison at ddhardison@richmondcc.edu or 910-410-1687.

Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
