HAMLET — Police have arrested a Rockingham man accused of using a debit card he allegedly stole in a car break-in.

Anthony Terrell Wall, 28, took a pocketbook, debit cards and other items from the car, Police Chief Rodney Tucker said Tuesday. Police say Wall used one debit card several times at businesses in Hamlet and Rockingham.

Wall is charged with four counts each of obtaining property by false pretense and attempting to obtain property by false pretense and one count each of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny.

He was booked into the Richmond County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
