The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office has made arrests in two recent area break-ins, according to Capt. Danny Bottoms.

He said Anthony Poteat, 25, of 1085 Chuck Dr. of Pilot Mountain, was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and one count misdemeanor larceny in relation to a June 5 break-in in the Pilot Mountain area.

“The home owner reported that jewelry and electronics were stolen from his house,” said Bottoms. “The Detective Division of the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office located some of the property stolen at two pawn shops.”

He said the property had a value of $290 and noted that Poteat was under a $7,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated case, Ramnarine Ramdeen, 21, of 606 Goldfloss St., Winston Salem, was charged on June 6 with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods in relation to a June 4 break-in in the Germanton area, according to Bottoms.

“The home owner reported that the door was kicked in and electronics were stolen,” he said. “The property stolen had a value of $3,600. On June 6, the Detective Division of Stokes County Sheriff’s Office and the Detective Division of the Winston Salem Police Department were able to locate some of the electronics at a house on Goldfloss St. in Winston Salem.”

Ramdeen’s bond set at $20,000 secured.
