HAMLET — One of Richmond Community College’s many exceptional graduates will be honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award at the College’s Convocation this fall.

Nominations will be accepted July 1 through Aug. 30. Nomination forms must be completed online at www.richmondcc.edu/nominationform. This form will go live on July 1.

In order to be nominated for the award, a person must have earned a diploma or associate degree from RichmondCC and must have significant community service, leadership and/or professional accomplishments.

Current faculty and staff of Richmond Community College are not eligible to receive this award.

“It has been quite some time since we’ve recognized and honored one of our graduates with this award, but the timing is right as we are about to kick off a membership drive for the President’s Club, which is for RichmondCC alumni as well as others in the community who are interested in supporting the college,” Dr. Hal Shuler, associate dean of development, said. “We have many great alumni of this college who have had a positive and influential impact on our community and beyond. We hope this award, as well as the President’s Club, will help them stay connected to RichmondCC.”

The Outstanding Alumni Award winner will be announced at the College’s Convocation on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Cole Auditorium. Nominees must attend the ceremony.
