HAMLET — The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce announces the 2017 Business Expo will be Tuesday, April 25 on the campus of Richmond Community College at the Cole Auditorium from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend.
From food and beverage vendors to retail and industry, more than 40 businesses will have a booth at the Expo. Chamber members use the event not only to market their products and services, but to make connections with the community members that attend.
“Many chambers around the country are thinking of folding up their expos due to poor attendance,” said Emily Tucker, President of the Chamber. “It is one of our most heavily attended events, and the support from the business community is outstanding.”
“Blooming for Business” is the theme of this year’s expo. Vendors are encouraged to decorate their booths in a spring theme. The “Best in Show” award will go to the exhibitor who best follows this theme.
In addition to learning about the latest business products and services, guests and vendors will also be able to speak one-on-one with officials from different business and state resources in the “Expert Alley.”
“We are excited to offer our Expert Alley for the second year,” said Deborah Hardison, Small Business Center director. “Experts from the following fields are just a few of the areas business owners can seek advice: legal issues, Department of Revenue, the IRS and a veteran small business owner.”
Donations will be taken at the door to help support Relay For Life.
