ABERDEEN — A Rockingham man was arrested Thursday on forgery and fraud charges in Moore County.

Bryant Keith McRae, 34, of 149 Chestnut Lane, faces two counts each of obtaining property by false pretense and possession of stolen goods and one count each of forgery of endorsement and uttering a forged instrument, according to jail records.

Aberdeen police arrested McRae on two charges stemming from a Thursday incident. He also was served with four warrants on charges from an unspecified out-of-county agency as well as a warrant on a March 2011 charge of communicating threats.

He was booked into the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage under a $2,500 secured bond. State records show no previous convictions resulting in prison time or probation in North Carolina.
