HAMLET — Richmond Community College’s Small Business Center will host a free seminar on social media marketing strategies from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Cole Auditorium on the college’s main campus in Hamlet.

Small business and entrepreneurial startups will learn the best ways to promote their small business through major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and Instagram. In today’s social media-driven world, potential customers and clients now expect businesses to have a presence on at least three of the major social media platforms.

Seminar attendees will learn how to find and target their customers on the right platform and develop a plan for how to interact online with different tools.

“Most clients look at the major social media platforms like Facebook and think they will have to devote hours to get results,” said presenter Todd Lyden. “I know that it can be done in much less time, with little to no cost and can be a crucial part of any businesses overall marketing plans.”

All Small Business Center seminars are open to the public and provided at no charge due to special funding arrangements through Richmond Community College.

Advance registration for the seminar may be completed online at tiny.cc/sbcseminars; or via email or phone by contacting Small Business Center Director Deborah Hardison at [email protected] or 910-410-1687.

Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
