HOFFMAN — Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Hoffman hosted its annual Prayer and Faith Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Members gathered on the grounds of the upcoming new sanctuary around 6 a.m. to begin the roughly 1.5-mile walk. Prayer and songs were rendered by the church ‘s pastor, the Rev. Robert L. Dockery Sr.

After the walk, members met back at the current church for breakfast provided by Bojangles’ of Aberdeen.

Various sponsors including The House of Fish in Aberdeen, Bryant’s Turf and Landscape in Rockingham, Sen. Tom McInnis, Rep. Garland E. Pierce, Southern Products & Silica Company in Hoffman, Smith Funeral Home in Wadesboro, R.W. Goodman Co. in Rockingham and Nelson Funeral Services in Rockingham, among others, helped put on the event.
