HAMLET — Richmond Community College recently partnered with Oak Grove Technologies in Hoffman to offer law enforcement from the surrounding counties a day of tactical training.

This one-day class provided local law enforcement with true-to-life training experiences that enhance the learning objectives so that the law enforcement officer can master his or her decision-making abilities and lifesaving skills.

Oak Grove Technologies is a 200-acre training facility that includes a multi-story shoot house, 40-foot multi-purpose rappelling tower, bunkhouse, small-arms ranges, and many other unique features designed for training law enforcement and first responders.

‘We are very pleased and excited to partner with Oak Grove Technologies,” said Neil Parrisher, director of public safety. “Oak Grove has a state-of-the-art facility with a great training location that will provide our law enforcement officers with opportunities for advanced training.”

This course focused on proving current law enforcement officers specialized training in rifle, handgun and physical ability exercises.
