Mount Olive Baptist Church, 596 East Washington St. Ext., Rockingham, has called the Rev. Daniel Main as their new pastor. He is passionate about God’s word and believes the purpose of life and ministry is to know God in a personal way.

He graduated from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and History of Ideas and Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry with Biblical Languages.

Pastor Main and his wife, Shawn, come from Branford, Florida, where he was the senior pastor at The First Baptist Church. They have one son, Joshua Main, who resides with his wife in Wake Forest.

They will begin their ministry at Mount Olive on Sunday, Aug. 6, when he’ll deliver his first sermon during the morning worship hour.

The congregation will honor the Mains with a covered dish fellowship luncheon immediately following the worship service. All are cordially invited to attend.

The Mains will make their home in Rockingham.
