CLERGY & CONGREGANTS LUNCH & LEARN: How to Prevent Suicide and Care For Those Affected will be held at the First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall located at 410 E. Washington St. in Rockingham from noon-3 p.m. N.C. Chapter Area Director, Betsy Rhodes with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Dana Cea, AFSP-NC Chapter Area co-chair and communications ambassador will be the guest speakers. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, hosted by the city of Rockingham and the Rockingham Police Department, will feature finger printing for children, a dunking booth with police officers, and other kids’ attractions, as well as the graduation of cadets from the 2017 Junior Police Academy. The event will be held in Cole Plaza and city hall parking lot and run from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
