THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS of Moore County is offering the Family to Family course free to family members, caregivers, and friends of those with mental illnesses. The course begins May 13 and will run subsequent Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings until June 17. Participants will learn all current information about the severe and persistent mental illnesses and addictive disorders, up-to-date information about medications and current research. PANCAKE BREAKFAST, sponsored by the East Rockingham United Methodist Church Men’s Club, will run from 7 to 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall, all you can eat for $4. There will also be a sweets and crafts sale at the same time.

SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS will hold a tribute in honor of Confederate soldiers who served from 1861 to 1865 in Harrington Square from 10 to 11 a.m. Everyone is invited.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 49, Hamlet will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the post home on Veterans Drive. The sons of Legion and Auxiliary will meet at the same time. A meal will be served after the meeting.

THE ROCKINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1958 will meet at Henry’s Uptown Cafe at 11:30 a.m.

THE RICHMOND COUNTY PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN will conduct its quarterly board of director’s meeting at noon. The meeting will be held at the Partnership, located on 315 S. Lawrence Street in Rockingham. The public is invited.

RICHMOND COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY MEETING will be held at the Judicial Building, 3rd floor, Rockingham, at 6 p.m. All Democrats are encouraged to attend. All meetings are scheduled for one hour.

COYOTE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP, sponsored by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, the Richmond County Cooperative Extension and USDA Wildlife Service, will feature information on coyote biology and behavior, non-lethal methods to prevent or reduce conflicts, laws and regulations on taking coyotes and basic trapping techniques. MEN’S FIRE RETREAT is a one-day retreat for the men of God to come together to encourage each other and young men to live productive lives within and around their communities.
