RICHMOND COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY will hold its convention at 10 a.m. in the jury assembly room of the Richmond County Judicial Center in Rockingham. All Republican and unaffiliated voters are encouraged to attend. Congressman Robert Pittenger and state Sen. Tom McInnis are scheduled to be guest speakers. The party will also be appointing county delegates to the state convention.

CONCERNED CITIZENS OF RICHMOND COUNTY will hold an Environmental Justice Rally at Dobbins Heights Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public — as well as choir, rap, mime and other groups — invited.
