CLASSICAL CHRISTMAS MUSIC AT COLE will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Emile Pandolfi on piano joined by vocalist Dana Russell singing familiar Christmas classics. December 17

RICHMOND COUNTY PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN will present the inaugural Christmas run at Hinson Lake. The Rudolph Run/Walk 5K for ages 15 and up will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. for a fee of $25 and the Santa Shuffle 1K for ages 1-14 will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. for a fee of $15. Pre-register beginning Oct. 15 at Richmond County Partnership for Children, 315 S. Lawrence St., Rockingham. Registration fee will include a T-shirt and pre-registration guarantees a T-shirt. There will be T-shirts available on the day of the event, however, sizes and quantity will be limited.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Rockingham Veterans of Foreign Wars on Old River Road. There will be free food, a visit from Santa Claus and music by DJ Peppermint Patty.

ELLERBE SPRINGS INN will welcome Santa Claus from 3 to 6 p.m. at 2537 U.S. 220 N., Ellerbe. Bring your child and your camera for photos with Santa. Call 910-652-5600 for more information.

HAMLET HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1959 will meet for lunch at noon at Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q in Rockingham.

December 28

ELLERBE TOWN MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION will meet at 6 p.m. at Ellerbe Springs Inn, 2537 U.S. 220 N., Ellerbe.

December 31

MONTHLY BREAKFAST will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hamlet. Two meats, eggs, grits, biscuit and gravy, juice and coffee for $5. Take-outs are available.

ELLERBE SPRINGS INN, 2537 U.S. 220 N., Ellerbe, will celebrate the New Year from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. featuring Tony Richardson and Gary Parker and DJ Jimmy Sellers.
