Sam Swinney of Rockingham was one of 16 local artists to have their artwork displayed in the Calvin Little Room at Leath Memorial Library. Swinney’s acrylic works made up 11 of the 78 overall paintings that will be on display from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays and noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays until Nov. 18. The painting on the bottom is titled Hideaway, said Swinney, and the scene shows where he would go to get away from the world.
