Jimmy S. Anderson, 79, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Hamlet, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at National Health Care Center in Murrells Inlet, S.C. He was born JJan. 2, 1931 in Richmond County a son of the late, John S. and Lula McKenzie Anderson. Jimmy graduated from Rockingham High School and worked in hotel management until his retirement.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Dena White officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Surviving are his sisters, Janet Bryan of Hamlet, Ruth Wallace of Rockingham, and Helen Phillips of Hamlet; a special friend, Robert Dunn of Murrells Inlet; and many nieces and nephews.
