Hat’s off to “Salute to Veterans”

November 12, 2013

On Friday, my wife and I attended the Richmond County Hospice third annual “Salute to Veterans” and it was great.

The speakers were excellent, short and to the point, the 82nd Airborne Brass Quintet was fantastic, the K2 Solutions Canine Demonstration was amazing, the Veterans Parachute Team hit the target despite the gusty wind, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard looked military in presenting of the colors, a 21-gun salute and Taps, and closed with a prayer by Sheriff James Clemmons Jr.

They even picked us up in the parking area in golf carts, transported us to the registration desk and carried usu back to our car at the close. The lunch was delicious and plentiful.

To everyone at Hospice, regulars and volunteers, “Thank you for a job well done.”
